Rissi Palmer To Host New Years Peach Drop

Country star Rissi Palmer will spend New Year's Eve in Atlanta, Georgia, where she'll co-host the 20th Annual Peach Drop taking place at Underground Atlanta, located downtown near the Georgia State Capitol.  Palmer, a former Atlanta resident and whose label, 1720 Entertainment is based, will join WXIA-TV chief meteorologist and regional Emmy award-winner, Paul Ossmann in hosting one of the largest New Year's Eve parties in the Southeast!

Live music starts at noon and will continue until 4:00 a.m. on January 1, 2009.  The all-day, rain or shine event is free to the public and whether it be country, southern rock or hip-hop, there will be music for everyone who attends. Local talent will heat up the main stage, leading up to the headlining performance and countdown at 11:30pm by Mercury Nashville recording artist and two-time Dancing With The Stars champion, Julianne Hough.

The 20th Annual New Year's Eve Peach Drop will be televised from 11:30pm on December 31, 2008 until 12:30am ET January 1, 2009 on WATL in Atlanta and syndicated nationally in over 40 markets, including Dallas-Ft. Worth, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Nashville (WZTV) and Philadelphia, to name a few.

Other 2009 plans for Rissi Palmer include touring and a new album from 1720 Entertainment.
