COUNTRY STAR JAMIE O'NEAL PERFORMS ROUSING VERSION OF NATIONAL ANTHEM AT CHICAGO'S SOLDIER FIELD
On Saturday, December 11, country star and Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Jamie O'Neal kicked off the nationally televised home game between the Chicago Bears and New Orleans Saints with a powerful version of the "Star Spangled Banner."
O'Neal's performance was so powerful, it moved T.W. Krems to comment at BleacherReport.com: "Jamie O'Neal opened the game with one of the best renditions of the National Anthem I have ever heard. It was so good, it stirred up the crowd and I felt like strapping up and getting on that field."
Apparently, her performance was also strong enough to stir up the Bears, who defeated the Saints in overtime.
Her latest single, "Like a Woman," is presently climbing the charts and is now available digitally on iTunes. The song, co-penned by O'Neal, is from her forthcoming album on 1720 Entertainment, scheduled for release in early 2009.
