"COUNTRY GIRL" RISSI PALMER TO MAKE GRAND OLE OPRY DEBUTNashville, TN - June 14, 2007...One of country music's brightest new stars, Rissi Palmer will make her Grand Ole Opry debut on Friday, June 22 in Nashville, TN. For Palmer, performing on the Opry is the thrill of a lifetime that all country artists dream about doing at some point in their career. Standing in the "circle" on the Opry stage, Palmer will sing where the likes of Patsy Cline, Tammy Wynette, and Johnny Cash once stood.
"Words cannot even express how deeply honored and humbled I am by this opportunity," says Palmer. "In fact, when I first heard the news, I burst into tears of joy!"
Palmer will perform her own rendition of the Patsy Cline classic "Leavin' On Your Mind" as well as her new single, "Country Girl" that was released to radio on June 4. The single will be included on her self-titled CD released on 1720 Entertainment slated for release this fall. The video for the song is presently airing on both CMT and GAC.
