ATLANTA BASED 1720 ENTERTAINMENT OPENS NASHVILLE OFFICECompany Announces Staff for New Country Division
Nashville, TN - May 30, 2007...Atlanta-based 1720 Entertainment has announced the launch of a new country division and have opened their doors to a new office in Nashville. The company's flagship artist, singer/songwriter Rissi Palmer, will release her debut single "Country Girl" to country radio Monday, June 4. Palmer's debut self-titled CD will follow in the fall.
1720's new country division will be staffed by Bill Macky, VP National Promotion; Jim Malito, Manager, West Coast Promotion; Rosey Fitchpatrick, Manager, Mid-America Promotion; Stacy Blythe, Manager, East Coast Promotion. Neal Spielberg and Derek Simon have also been retained as senior consultants to the label, overseeing sales and marketing respectively.
Industry veteran, Macky has nearly 30 years experience in radio and promotion. Throughout his career, he has served as program director and worked at various radio stations, including WDSY-Pittsburgh and KRTY-San Jose, KSON-San Diego and KUZZ-Bakersfield. He held the position of VP Promotion at both MCA Nashville and Epic Nashville. Most recently, Macky served as Executive VP Promotion for Category 5 Records. Malito, who brings with him more than 13 years of experience in independent promotion and label management spent nearly five years at Warner Bros. Records, most recently as Vice President Field Promotion. In prior years, he served as Director, West Coast Promotion for Dreamcatcher Entertainment and worked as an independent promoter for Turner & Associates and Marco Promotions.
