Nashville, TN – March 6, 2007…It’s "March Madness" for country music singer/songwriter, Rissi Palmer who has been tapped to perform the National Anthem for some of basketball’s biggest fans.
On Sunday, March 11, the dynamic vocal stylist will perform in front of more than 40,000 sports fans prior to the SEC Men’s Basketball Championship at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia. The following week on Sunday, March 18, Palmer will once again perform the anthem for the NBA’s New Jersey Nets, as they host the Los Angeles Clippers at the Continental Arena in East Rutherford, NJ.
Rissi Palmer is rapidly becoming one of Nashville's brightest new stars. She is planning to release her debut CD on 1720 Entertainment this summer. The CD will feature numerous self-penned tunes by the accomplished songwriter, including the new single, "Country Girl" that's scheduled to hit radio airwaves on April 23.
